Movement guidance & program sources
This calendar is general educational guidance for adults, not an individualized medical, rehabilitation, or performance plan. Start with a version that feels manageable. Stop if you feel pain or unwell; seek appropriate help. If a condition, injury, symptoms, or uncertainty affects exercise, ask a qualified health professional about suitable activity.
CDC guidance for adults includes at least 150 minutes of moderate activity a week and muscle-strengthening activity on at least two days; any activity is better than none. These short starter sessions may not reach those recommendations or cover every muscle group. A 10-minute strength or walking session includes six minutes to warm up and three to cool down, leaving one minute of practice. Longer sessions add practice, not a requirement to go harder.
